Flat, standard and inverted cages: comparing product shapes

When comparing flat, conventional and inverted chastity cages, look at three things separately: the outside profile, the interior shape and the base ring. Product names can overlap, and a flat ring is a different choice from a flat cage body.

Start with the exact model and variant, then use front, side and rear views to understand what the shape description means.

Conventional profile: compare the forward projection

In this guide, a conventional profile means an enclosure that projects forward from its connection to the base ring. The Classic Chastity Cage is a useful model to examine alongside flatter designs.

Look for the enclosure's full front-to-back dimension and the position of the connector and lock. Ask whether a stated overall length includes those parts. A short cage body can still have hardware outside its main outline.

The Classic listing offers Large and Small cage sizes. Those labels belong to this model; “Small” is not a shared measurement across the catalog.

The side view is useful for comparing a recessed profile. Shape labels alone do not establish dimensions or fit. View Flat Inverted Chastity Cage.

Flat profile: distinguish the plate from the depth

A flat description generally points you toward a shallow outside profile. For the Flat Metal Chastity Cage, the current listing gives an approximate inner length of 6 mm (0.24 in) and inner diameter of 33 mm (1.30 in). These are different dimensions from the front plate or the full assembled depth. Keep the measurement labels attached to the numbers when comparing models.

Use the side view to identify what extends behind or in front of the plate. Then check a labeled drawing for the measurement you actually need. The amount of space occupied in a front photograph cannot establish depth.

Inverted profile: inspect the rear and interior

For an inverted or negative description, look for a recessed or inward-facing feature and how it relates to the ring. A rear view or labeled section can be more informative than the main product photograph.

The Flat Inverted Chastity Cage combines both words in its name. Its current specifications label a 37 mm side span, 30 mm cup span and 45 mm ring-side span as external. None is a usable internal-space measurement. The 45 mm ring-side span is also not the selected base-ring size: the listing separately offers 40, 45, 50 and 55 mm rings.

The listing separates base-ring size from its Yes/No optional insert selection. Record accessories separately so an extra component does not become confused with the base cage shape. This comparison covers product geometry, not accessory-use instructions.

A flat ring is a separate selection

The Flat Breathable Chastity Cage offers Curved and Flat ring choices, alongside Pink and Black colors. Both ring choices belong to the same product range.

Write the complete selection, such as “Flat Breathable, Curved ring, Black.” A note that says only “flat black cage” loses the ring detail that distinguishes the variant.

Use the right view for each question

  • Front: compare the outline, outside width and height, openings and visible hardware
  • Side: compare the projection, ring profile and connector position
  • Rear or section: examine the connection and the boundaries of the interior space
  • Labeled drawing: identify measurement endpoints, units and the exact version shown

Compare photographs taken at similar angles, but rely on labeled measurements for size. Two images cropped to fill identical squares are not necessarily at the same scale.

Common comparison questions

Are flat and inverted cages the same thing?

Not necessarily. Flat describes the outside profile; inverted describes an inward-facing feature. A model can combine both, as the Flat Inverted example does. Check the actual side and rear views instead of treating either word as a standardized size.

Does a flat ring make the cage smaller?

A ring-profile choice is not an inner-diameter measurement. The Flat Breathable listing distinguishes Flat and Curved ring profiles from its ring sizes. Record both rather than assuming that one profile means a smaller opening.

Will a flatter shape be less visible under clothing?

A shallow body is only one part of the comparison. The ring, connector and lock also affect the assembled outline, and clothing and individual fit vary. A product name or isolated photograph cannot guarantee concealment or comfort.

Keep the final comparison specific

Record the model, variant, outside dimensions, documented internal dimensions, ring profile and lock position. Leave a missing dimension marked “unconfirmed.” Shape information alone cannot establish comfort or how a product will sit under clothing.

If the missing detail would change your decision, send product support one precise request, such as “Can you mark the complete assembled depth on a side view of this variant?”
